The Harvest is Plentiful, but...

I recently recieved the following message from Carice Blazo, director of Central Europe recruitment for ESI (Educational Services International), which was the organization I taught in Hungary with in 2000-2001, as well as the summer of 2003. I have nothing but good things to say about this organization, so if ANY of you are interested in serving God in a beautiful and spiritually hungry part of the world, I would encourage you to check them out! They train you before you go, and they simply require a bachelor's degree - in any subject, not necessarily English. If you don't feel called yourself, please consider passing along this link to someone who might be interested. Thanks!

Dear Central Europe Alum,

I am writing because recruitment for Central Europe seems to be particularly slow this year. Currently, we only have 15 teachers to fill 26 positions available in the Czech Republic. If God doesn’t do a miracle, then we will be forced to end our involvement in schools that may be dear to your heart.

Although the official deadline to apply for the Czech Republic has passed, it’s not too late to save some schools…but we need your help!

Central Europe is famous for its majestic castles, historic sights and quaint cobblestone streets. However, decades of oppression have also left Central Europeans with crumbling morals and a marked absence of hope. Christians in the classroom have an awesome opportunity to make a difference in the lives of their students, friends and colleagues.

TeachOverseas.org has been training and sending Christians to serve God overseas through teaching conversational English for over 20 years. You don’t need to have a teaching background to serve with us because we offer comprehensive training. We will send you out with a team and you will be cared for by in-country leadership. Your housing and a modest living stipend will be taken care of. Some support-raising is involved.

Please contact Carice Blazo immediately if you are interested: 1-800-895-7955, cblazo@esimail.org, http://www.TeachOverseas.org
