This is just to give you a picture of what my last 3 days have been like. Since the finals I gave were scheduled on Thursday night and Friday afternoon, I have had aproximately 2.5 days in which to mark all the above papers, exams and portfolios before grades are due Monday at noon. I am almost, almost done, so enough of the pity train. But seriously, can you believe the size of that pile!

Not my own
Well, since I’m sitting at this computer wasting time by reading every blog I ever read, checking if there is anything new on the magazines I read, calculating and recalculating the cost of plane tickets for the summer, I guess I might as well get around to updating this.
And that’s it, isn’t it? My life is not my own to plot or plan or pace. I know that going to
Oh, but I need to feel it too. Need it fully.

A friend sent this to me
It doesn't have to be
the blue iris, it could be
weeds in a vacant lot, or a few
small stones; just
pay attention, then patch
a few words together and don't try
to make them elaborate, this isn't
a contest but the doorway
into thanks, and a silence
in which
another voice may speak.

Happy Easter from Karkle, Lithuania
This Easter weekend, myself and my friend and fellow teacher, Jerilyn were able to go with a wonderful group of women from LCC to spend 24 hours at a nearby retreat house in Karkle. Jerilyn taught on the discipline of fasting, I took care of the pre and post-fasting meals, and all of us spent most of our day Saturday in fasting, prayer, study and meditation. It was a lovely and meaningful way to celebrate this most-significant time of the Christian year. We were all blessed to learn from each other as God spoke to each of us in unique ways throughout the day.
