Let's call it, the Procrastination Photo Essay

This week, I have come to the realization - shocking after all this time, I know - that so long as I am teaching, my life will never be free of this:

Which might explain why I filled my weekend with this:

And...

...and...

Of course, this...

And Nicole and I greatly enjoyed finishing off season 5 of 24, with our friend Jack Bauer, who we decided is quite a lot like God, since one of the characters explained about him, "I know him. I don't always agree with his methods, but I trust him." :)

What a great post! Love the Jack Bauer/God analogy. I think my husband would agree. And as I just finished grading an estimated 1,296 assignments from my freshmen (I procrastinated by doing some simple math), I can completely relate. Even cleaning the whiteboard can seem better than grading! I hope you are doing well--you have been in my thoughts a bunch.

Jen,

Those cookies look amazing, can I come over and have some! Great use of your procrastination time. I'm impressed! Wish I could be there with you while you're procrastinating!

Ah Jen, I love your photo essay. Having just finished finals myself, I recognize those scenes all too well! While I may have just taken a final with nary a minute spent in preparation, I did sort through some old photos, bake some cookies, and caught up on many e-mails....
