The next chapter

Well, I did it.

I just hit "send" on the email to Lithuania Christian College, writing to tell them that I'd like to accept the position there next year. Wow! It felt pretty significant to write that letter and realize the course of my life that is determined by it, just some words on a screen.

I am happy, and excited. There are a lot of details to take care of in the next three months (like raising support!), but I know they'll fall into place. One great thing I'm looking forward to is being here in Colorado over the summer. I plan to camp like a crazy person (in between my two or three jobs, of course).

"They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cites that have been devastated for generations...
I will delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God.
For he has clothed me with gaments of salvation
and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
For as the soil makes the sprout come up
and a garden causes seed to grow,
so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness and praise
spring up before all nations."
- Isaiah 61: 4, 10-11
